No Mercy Movie
My Score: 6.5/10
Director: Kim Hyung-Jun
Summary: A forensic pathologist is waiting to meet his daughter after she had been away in America for about 15 years. While he’s waiting, he’s working on his last murder case. As the murder suspect is being questioned, he learns that the suspect has kidnapped his daughter on her way home. To free his daughter, he is forced to mess with the evidence to free the suspect.
Review: Hm. Well, this started out as the usual murder/crime show would. They find a body and he has to do an autopsy on it. There’s a detective and cops and all that. I didn’t think the main guy was very clever or anything… and this theme doesn’t really seem new to me at all. There was a “bad cop” that, when the movie was almost over, I realized was supposed to provide comedic relief. Obviously he wasn’t funny enough for me to notice.
However, the ending left a big impact.
There was also a good amount of suspense and action. While it wasn’t really clever, it did have some mystery and enough twists to stay interesting. If you like those sort of movies, I recommend this one.
Warning: There’s a short sex scene and there’s nudity. Also, if you don’t like seeing autopsies, I don’t really recommend this movie.
My Score: 7.5/10
