New Kpop MVs: 5, April 2013

new korean mvs

I’ve been posting new MV’s, (when I can), onto the Facebook and Twitter pages, but since I started college, it’s been difficult. Not to mention that sometimes it probably ends up spamming people when I try to catch up.

Therefore, I’m going to post the new MV’s in one post… hopefully once a week!

Let’s see how this goes!

First, here’s the overview:

  • Delight – Mega Yak
  • GI (Global Icon) – Beatles
  • Davichi – Be Warmed ft. Verbal Jint
  • Sunny Hill & Daybreak – Love, Actually
  • K.Will – Love Blossom
  • LUNAFLY – Fly to Love
  • Allen Kibum – Longing ft. Harisu
  • C-Clown – It Was Like That Then ft. ALi
  • ElectroBoyz – Ma Boy 3 ft. Nana (from After School)
  • Bada – A Strange-Looking Curtain
  • Yoon Jong Shin – May You Please
  • Jay Park – 1Hunnit ft. Dok2
  • Choiza – Going Down

Now, here are the MVs (description under each):

Delight – Mega Yak
Category: Kpop
Nice dubstep break. Girls with attitude. I love their rapping and vocal style! My fav is the wavy haired girl, just because I wasn’t expecting her to be fierce and then she proved me wrong in their MV for Delight.

GI (Global Icon) – Beatles
Category: Kpop
Kind of a creepy punk theme going on. Visually interesting with the dancing too. Song has autotune, but the chorus is catchy.

Davichi – Be Warmed ft. Verbal Jint
Category: Kpop
Verbal Jint should write music for Davichi more often. Their voices are as beautiful as always, with a longing feeling, and VJ’s part was a welcome addition. There is no real story, but the artists themselves are showcased.  (VJ looks so good here!)

Sunny Hill & Daybreak – Love, Actually
Category: Kpop
These two groups collaborated to create this relaxing and sweet song. The MV is comedic and is about the girls finding their ideal type.

K.Will – Love Blossom
Category: Kpop
The song is upbeat but relaxing, (Urban Soul). L and Dasom are featured in the MV, which is cute and very amusing! You must watch this one~

LUNAFLY – Fly to Love
Category: Kpop
Cute and fun sound, this song talks about different places for couples to vacation. If you liked B1A4’s “OK”, you’ll probably like this fairly similar style.

Allen Kibum – Longing ft. Harisu
Category: Kpop
Kibum, (formerly from U-Kiss), is finally back. This song has a large rap segment by him, some deeper singing, and some more subdued, sad-sounding vocals. The MV itself just showcases him.

C-Clown – It Was Like That Then ft. ALi
Category: Kpop
C-Clown teamed up with ALi to make a nice, laid-back song. The MV showcases them in the studio during recording.

ElectroBoyz – Ma Boy 3 ft. Nana (from After School)
Category: Kpop
Nice beat, but at the same time, it has a light feeling to it.

Bada – A Strange-Looking Curtain
Category: Ballad
A soothing ballad with female vocals. Even though the MV was kind of simple, I couldn’t stop watching it. I think it’s about what the guy really wanted to do that day.

Yoon Jong Shin – May You Please
Category: Ballad
A ballad featuring an electric guitar in the back.

Jay Park – 1Hunnit ft. Dok2
Category: Hip Hop
Catchy, it’s not crazy but has a kind of intense style. If you liked his ‘Level 1000, you’d probably like this too.

Choiza – Going Down
Category: Hip Hop
This is a trance-like kind of song. There’s kind of a disturbing edge to it, and the MV reflects that in it’s strange imagery and dark settings.

CN Blue – Blind Love
Category: Japanese

SNSD – Beep Beep (Short Version)
Category: Japanese

Clara C – You’ve Got It All
Category: English

  1. Wow I was really surprised by the MV by Delight. I was not expecting it to be mainly a rapping group! I wonder if they drew any inspiration from LEXY!
