This week had a lot of good music, just like last week! The highlight for me was Lee Jung Hyun’s comeback! (I was waiting forever, haha!). Also, EXO, f(x), Brown Eyed Girls, and MIB. Koyote, AOA, Kim Hyun Joong, and AA finally came back as well.
New debuts included Kang Seung Yoon, Say Yes, Lee Yu Rim, and Queen B’Z.
Sorry there’s so much this time… since I’m trying to get caught up again, this is over a week’s worth of new releases! I wouldn’t doubt it if I missed some too, since it starts getting hard for me to keep track when it’s more than a week ago, (yeah, I don’t have a very good system in place yet, haha.). I think I got most of my usual YouTube channels though!

I was waiting for this! I wish the MV was as creepy as the trailer, but I still had fun watching it as a comedy. Her concepts are so interesting. I also love the sound of the song and could listen to it forever, haha. (But I’m just a fan girl lol).
Lee Yu Rim – Call My Name ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Oh I love the sound of this song! It has a unique style to it. It’s also perfect for girls who’ve liked a younger guy.
Crying Nut – Give Me the Money ↓↓↓
Category: Punk Rock
Fun song for summer. The MV is really entertaining. (I think the guy’s mannerisms are cute, haha.)
AA – Midnight Taxi ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Oh I missed this group too, (check out “Call“). One of the guys, Kimchi, isn’t in the MV since the company didn’t think it fit his image, BTW. He did sing in the song, however. Maybe he just couldn’t act sensual or something, lol.
Queen B’Z – Bad ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Powerful and sexy! Amazing for newbies!
Brown Eyed Girls – Kill Bill ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Wow, an MV inspired by the Quentin Tarantino movie! The choreography is really sexy. The song is pretty good, but the whole album is worth listening to, in my opinion.
VIXX – ‘You’re Impressive’ (‘G.R.8.U’) ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
From charismatic to cute, haha. I love the concept though. Apparently this is supposed to be the “Jekyll” part of their last “Hyde” song. Things are backward to represent going to the past before he turned into Hyde.
I really like the sound of this song, btw.
DickPunks – Sunglasses ↓↓↓
Category: Rock/Alternative (?)
If you like this, you must check out their “Viva Primavera” song too! The piano is lovely in this song. There’s also a random, unexpected dubstep thing somewhere around the middle, haha.
Yellow Monsters – Caution ↓↓↓
Category: Punk Rock
Energetic with a nice melody.
EXO – Growl ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Before I forget, you can find the Chinese version here, (which I like just as much, if not more).
The MV concept is cool, but strange to me. I have no idea why, since usually I just accept it, haha. (Yeah, it’s just dancing, but the background just seems to creepy to ignore, haha.)
I like EXO, but for me, this song isn’t as memorable as the others. It still has a really nice beat though, and looks fun to dance to.
f(x) – Rum Pum Pum Pum ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
I like a lot of songs on their new album, (especially “Shadow”). This song is fun and different too.
The camera twirl in the MV is fun, and I like the plaid outfits in this MV a lot, and gave me memories of former group JQT‘s MV for “I Fell For You,” (which is actually pretty good in it’s own way, I’m not comparing groups here!).
Kang Seung Yoon – Wild And Young ↓↓↓
Category: Pop Rock
Oh his voice! I like him and will be paying attention to him in the future now.
He’s with YG Entertainment, so I guess he’s mainstream rock? I’m under the impression that rock isn’t usually mainstream in Korea, so it’s hard for me to classify him for that reason, combined with the fact that he didn’t write this song himself, (Teddy apparently wrote it). I’ll just write him up as “pop rock” like CN Blue and FT Island, haha.
24K – U R So Cute ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Their happiness is so cute. I like the energetic dance too.
The concept of the MV is adorable. At first, I thought it was kind of like a copy of CN Blue’s “Love Girl,” but then it was apparent that they were really merely her stuffed animals who loved her unconditionally, (so sweet ;o; lol).
MIB – Dash (Men In Black) ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop/Hip-hop
Yeah, this group is getting really good. They did have my attention at their debut/pre-debut solos, but I’m really enjoying their new stuff this year.
Not surprising, the MV is loosely inspired by the American movie Men In Black.
Rose Motel (장미여관) – 하도 오래되면 ↓↓↓
Category: Indie
Soothing, with a cute animated MV. Kind of feels sad.
Lush – Feeling Insignificant ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Okay… their company won’t allow anyone to post it. The only version I can find is a reaction video on YouTube!
But, the music is jazzy and pretty good for a debut group. Apparently, they’re all in their mid-20’s and have experience as vocal trainers (source). The MV is strange. I think it has a lot of symbolism in it, but couldn’t get a good look to really figure it out. A comment on Omona posted a comment saying it was about taking turns in dating/relationships and said it fit the lyrics too (source).
I’ll post the actual MV whenever they stop deleting it everywhere.
Tahiti – Love Sick ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Sexy concept with cuteness infused into it, (you guys probably already know how I feel about that combo… sigh). The song itself isn’t too bad, though. Probably not something I’d personally listen to a lot, though. I do like the voice style.
Koyote – Hollywood ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop/Disco
Disco style! It looks like they’re having fun. Especially the end clip!
Chamsom – Rainy Dance ↓↓↓
Category: Indie
Lovely and happy. The end made me laugh!
AOA – MOYA ↓↓↓
Category: Pop Rock
This is a nice laid-back song. The end of the MV is kind of unexpected hahaha.
Say Yes – It Feels Good ↓↓↓
Category: Pop Rock
Are idol rock groups/singers going to be the next thing? I just hope they can all get more of their own sound, haha. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like these kinds of groups, but I’d also be lying if I said they don’t have a similar sound, (CN Blue, LEDApple, and now Say Yes, have quite a similar sound these days, honestly… don’t hit me! lol. Maybe FT Island doesn’t fall into that since Hongki’s vocals are so unique?).
Kim Hyun Joong – Your Story ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Hmmm, this certainly looks like a different image for him, (I hardly recognized him in Unbreakable last week haha! I’m sold though, and think I like this style for him more)! All the kissing and stuff contributes to the mature vibe of the MV.
J-Slow – I’m Dirty (30) ↓↓↓
Category: Hip hop
Nice beat!
5dolls – Soulemate #1 ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Cute retro theme for the MV. The song is upbeat. People say the MV reminds them of T-ara’s “Roly Poly” but the MV style is placed in a different era, so… lol, Disco vs. Mod.
T-ara with Davichi – BIKINI ft. Skull ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
A summer theme for the MV. It must have been a nice vacation for that company, haha, since it’s mostly beach footage of the girls. Strangely, Skull is hardly in the song. Guess he was just there to accent it.
Kim Greem – Just The Two Of Us ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop/Jazzy
Sultry and sexy vocals. I don’t know if the rap really fits, though.
Unfortunately, the producer for the song apparently was a little too inspired by Pixie Lott’s “Mama Do.” (Why do things like this keep happening in the Kpop world…?)
Sunny Dayz – Meet A Girl Just Like You ↓↓↓
Category: Kpop
Decent song. Their vocals are pretty strong.
Yozoh – Flowerpot ↓↓↓
Category: Indie
Somehow relaxing. It must be the soothing vocals and repetitive beat in the background.
Noeazy – Genesis ↓↓↓
Category: Metalcore
Haha, I like the MV! Inspired by something he sees on his computer, a man begins his “Genesis.”
P-Type – Volcano ↓↓↓
Category: Hip hop
Subdued type of hiphop/rap. I like the woman’s vocals.
B-Free and Reddy – Work ↓↓↓
Category: Hip hop
Pump yourself up for work by listening to this song, haha.
Queen.J – 주르륵 (Jururuk) ↓↓↓
Category: Ballad
December – Fire ↓↓↓

They’re currently in the army, but their company released this.

My favorite MV out of the ones I watched is the animated one! It is so cute and also rather melancholy like you said.
I haven’t heard of LUSH before but I’m surprised by how there are only 3 members in the group and how they actually have really good, strong voices. Omg I can actually hear their voices more than the background vocals in their live performances!
And this kinda relates to the recent ‘trend’ in more jazzy/soul kpop songs…….do you know whatever happened to the group Big Mama?!? They had great voices but they’ve been gone for a long time…
Found this other live performance by Lush, I think it’s a cover of a song. It really surprised me because they are way more comfortable on stage here. Definitely a great performance. O_O
