The Woman Next Door Korean Drama

Ajumma Next Door/Woman Next Door

My Score: 7.5/10

Lead Actors: Lee Tae Sung Sun Woo Sun

Episodes: 1

Genre: Drama/Romance/Mystery

Summary: After he finds his girlfriend cheating on him, a young man in his early 20’s falls in love with his married neighbor. After he finds out her husband abuses her, the husband winds up dead….

Review: If you have an hour of time to spare, this is worth watching.

When I started watching it, I thought that, though it wasn’t boring, it was just a simple story of a man who goes too far trying to protect the woman he loves. Nothing too original. But then it just kept getting more complicated and mysterious until you finally find out the whole story in the end.

The acting was pretty good… it wasn’t Lee Tae Sung’s best work, but he managed to be cute enough with an innocent air about him. The character Sun Woo Sun portrayed was pretty depressed and expressionless, but on the few parts she did need to show emotion, she did it well.

The only thing I didn’t really like was the beginning. It felt like a jumbled up mess. It wasn’t really that confusing, but it felt annoying because the timelines weren’t organized – they just kept jumping from past, middle and present in no apparent order.

Once it got past that and started the actual story, it was enjoyable.

Warning: There is a  throwing-up scene that’s more graphic than usual (though not as bad as My Sassy Girl). So if puke bothers you, be warned.

My Score: 7.5/10
